The International Nurse Solution

The shortage of available nursing care has reached a
critical stage in the United States, Canada, and Australia.
Growth in the nursing workforce has not kept pace with the
needs of a rapidly aging population. It has been estimated
that in the next 20 years, there will be a 300% increase in
the need for nurses, thus, nurses from abroad are
increasingly being sought to fill these positions.
GOLL´s mission is to train international nurses  from basic English
courses to TOEFL.  From there we utilize U.S. registered nurse instructors
in our
Nurse Bridge Program which prepares foreign nurses for the
licensure examinations:
CFGNS and NCLEX.  From here we sign a
contract with each student so that we become your advocate in job search,
procurement,  and visa application. we are with you
every step of the way
The International (Foreign) Nurse

Before any healthcare professional can work in the United States, you are required to
be licensed. In case of nurses, they are required to take the
NCLEX ( National
Council licensure Examination).  For foreign nurses, the process is more
complex. This is why GOLL has designed this transitional program to guide you step
by step in obtaining your license.

600 Hours Basic-Intermediate Advanced English Course

We start each client with an evaluation exam to determine their current English level. For those who have not been
exposed to English to any degree will start out with the most basic English course which lasts 600 hours. This class
generally lasts 15 months (10 hours/ week= 40 hours per month). We do have intensive classes for those
dedicated individuals who want to improve their English as fast as possible. This class is specifically designed to
meet the particular needs of a busy nurse work schedule. This class will meet 7 days a week- 3 hours/ day in order
to reduce the class time to 8 months.
Advanced English Course

This Class is designed to last 5 months in order to increase medical vocabulary and to prepare for the TOEFL and
TSE examinations (the first step for legal immigration and employment).
About CGFNS (Part of the Nurse Bridge Program)

The preparation class for both CGFNS and NCLEX are given at the same time by a U.S. registered nurse. The
CGFNS is a precursor and screening exam for the NCLEX– if you pass one you will pass the other. This class is an
intensive class that lasts 3 months. It will have modules to extend its duration for those who need more preparation
time.
CGFNS is the only organization recognized in the world that protects health care professionals. Their duty is to
ensure that foreign nurses and other healthcare professionals educated in other countries are eligible and qualified
to meet licensure, immigration and other practice requirements in the United States. The CGFNS program is based
on two test: one on your nursing experience and the other on English language: TOEFL(Test of English as a foreign
language) or TOEIC ( Test of English in International Communication), TSE or IELTS(International English
Language Testing System. CGFNS Nursing contents include maternal/infant care, nursing care for the adult,
psychiatric/mental health nursing, nursing care for children and community health nursing.
The Road to Working as a Nurse abroad
About NCLEX (Part of the Nurse Bridge Program)

NCLEX is the examination in order to obtain licensure to work as a nurse in the United States (in most cases this
exam is accepted in Canada and Australia- whose own licensing exams are very similar) The CGFNS exam is a
screening exam and a predeterminer of who is likely to pass the NCLEX examination.
Job Interview and Placement / VISA Application

GOLL has partnerships with hospitals all over the United States, Canada, and Australia. Upon passing the NCLEX
examination interviews with various hospitals will be set-up. Interview skills will be updated and as soon as a job
offer is extended, we will take the proof of job to the immigration office aided by an immigration lawyer, both of which
greatly assist in obtaining a Visa.

Length of Program

The time-frame for this program depends on the English fluency of each individual when starting. This program is
focused on those individuals who want intensive classes of English and who fundamentally want to undergo a
life-change in order to improve their professional careers. Class time with a native speaker, MP3 players with
downloaded lessons while the student is driving or taking the bus or sky-train (Bangkok). We send text messages
